Copied after a violin made in 1730 by Guarneri "del Gesu" that was owned and played on by Fritz Kreisler. Well executed interpretation of the original Kreisler violin.

Due to its design, tone, ease of play, and distinctive markings, this instrument is one of the most requested.   We think of it as having Stradivari sound holes and arching, with the outline of a del Gesu.

It responds as well for the concert soloist as for the chamber musician.  Many who have played this violin have said that, "Once you play the 'Kreisler' you will not want to put it down."

Hand carved from European tone-woods by individual makers in the Scott Cao workshop. Spruce top of medium to close grain. Two piece maple back of medium to narrow flame. Ribs and scroll similar. Antiqued in the style of the original violin and finished in an oil varnish of brown color on a golden ground.

  • Ebony fingerboard, pegs, tailpiece and endbutton
  • D'Addario Zyex strings
  • Aubert Mirecourt bridge
  • Guarneri ebony chinrest
  • Available 4/4 only.
